A woman at work recommended this book to me. It outlines a year long pursuit of happiness by the author. Although everyone’s “happiness project” would be different, there were a couple key themes that I really took out of the book and have tried to incorporate into my daily life.
1. Enjoy Now – The idea behind that one is that we all plan to be happy when we write the big novel, get the big promotion, move to the big house…and we forget to take pleasure in the “now.”
2. Lighten Up when it comes to parenthood – One of my goals for 2015 is to increase my patience (which is difficult with a 2 year old)
3. Make Time for Friends – specifically “Show Up” – thought here is that a big part of friendship is showing up and making the time!
