Juicing (and I don’t mean Steroids)

So, I got the Omega 8004 juicer for my birthday and last weekend we started juicing!  We’ve tried three recipes thus far:

1.  Kale, cucumber, apple, and grape juice and a little bit of water.  It was labeled an “energy boost” juice but neither of us really experienced a full energy boost but the juice in general exceeded both of our expectations but I thought it had a little too much cucumber (which is odd because I really enjoy cucumber in water etc).

2.  Beet – orange juice which I was not a big fan of but Andy really enjoyed.  We didn’t add the extra water to this recipe so it was very concentrated (too much beet for me)

3.  Mango, strawberry, and blueberry with 1/2 cup water.  This was an antioxidant juice and was really great.  It even got Anne’s approval!  Highly recommended and next time I will probably add some spinach to it also!

Overall I’m a big fan of juicing and looking forward to the recipe book I am getting in a couple weeks!  Easy way to get nutrients for all those pre and post workouts!!
